    About the role#

    This internship offers a direct look at the Airworthiness and Certification department at Airbus. You will work within the Design Organisation Approval framework to help ensure aircraft safety and compliance. You will be integrated into daily business operations, shadowing senior engineers and taking ownership of projects that impact team performance. This role involves exposure to certification for aircraft upgrades, service bulletins, and repair approvals.

    What you'll do#

    • Manage and improve internal team communication platforms to streamline information sharing.
    • Design, build, and maintain performance and financial dashboards for department leadership.
    • Update and refine certification data tracking tools used for aircraft modifications.
    • Participate in engineering improvement and innovation projects, including automation and data analytics.
    • Generate engineering reports, templates, and weekly status updates.
    • Assist in routing documents for review and coordinate with internal and external teams.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in an accredited, full-time 4-year engineering degree program in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
    • Minimum Sophomore standing or enrollment in a Master's degree program.
    • Entry-level programming skills in Python or Apps Script.
    • Familiarity with engineering tools like CAD, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
    • Proficiency with Google or Microsoft Suites.
    • Ability to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

    • Location: Mobile, Alabama.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Modality: Full-time, on-site.
    • This is a paid internship.
