    About the role#

    The Department of Art & Art History is hiring a student worker to provide administrative support. You will work alongside the Administrative Manager to keep the front office running smoothly. This position is for the Fall 2026 term and requires a 10-hour weekly commitment.

    What you'll do#

    • Act as the first point of contact for the department, greeting visitors and answering inquiries.
    • Manage departmental calendars and handle room reservations for students and faculty.
    • Organize files, restock office supplies, and maintain a clean workspace.
    • Assist with mail distribution and package tracking.
    • Create and update departmental documents and resources.
    • Help faculty with course schedule requests and verification.
    • Perform general administrative tasks including data entry and filing.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as an Art major.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to provide helpful customer service to students and faculty.
    • Punctuality and a dedicated approach to your work.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
    • Commitment to following all University policies.

    Location & details#

    • This role is located at the Hooper Schaefer Fine Arts Center, Room 136, in Waco, Texas.
    • This is an on-site, paid position at $9.56 per hour.
