About the role#
The Department of Art & Art History is hiring a student worker to assist with daily operations. You will work closely with the Administrative Manager to keep the office running smoothly. This role is for the Fall 2026 term and requires 10 hours of work per week. It is a paid position based on-site at the Hooper Schaefer Fine Arts Center.
What you'll do#
- Act as the first point of contact for the department, greeting visitors and answering inquiries.
- Manage departmental calendars and handle room reservations for faculty and students.
- Keep the office organized by filing documents, restocking supplies, and maintaining common areas.
- Assist with mail and package deliveries.
- Help faculty with course schedule requests and verification.
- Create and update departmental documents and resources.
- Perform general data entry and clerical tasks while maintaining confidentiality.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as an Art major.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- A dedicated, punctual, and organized approach to your work.
- Ability to follow University policies and maintain reliable attendance.

- Location: Hooper Schaefer Fine Arts Center, Room 136, 60 Baylor Avenue, Waco, Texas.
- Schedule: 10 hours per week.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Pay: $9.56 per hour.
