About the role#
This externship offers students the opportunity to gain clinical experience in a veterinary environment. You will work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians and veterinarians to support patient care in both primary and urgent care settings. The role focuses on mentorship and professional development within a clinical team.
What you'll do#
- Focus on direct patient care.
- Participate in surgery and dental procedures.
- Shadow appointments with credentialed veterinary technicians.
- Educate pet parents about animal care.
- Attend internal educational events provided by the Medical Operations Team.
- Use clinic tools and medical equipment to support daily operations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an AVMA accredited veterinary technician or veterinary nursing program.
- A requirement for externship hours or skills as part of your current coursework.
- Independent and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
