About the role#
Cal Poly Pomona Enterprises is looking for ten students to serve as Micro-Internship Assistants. You will work with Dr. Xu Yang to provide technical food safety assistance to local urban farmers and small food businesses. This is a 40-hour paid program.
What you'll do#
- Provide food safety support to urban farmers and food industry businesses.
- Act as a liaison between these local stakeholders and Dr. Xu Yang.
- Write a final report on your food safety project at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student at Cal Poly Pomona.
- Practical experience with food safety.
- Strong social skills to communicate with stakeholders.
- Preferred background includes experience in the food industry, outreach, or extension work.
- Knowledge of GMP, food safety auditing, and manufacturing settings is helpful.
