About the role#
DigiPen Institute of Technology is hiring a Student Teaching Assistant for MUS-150 and MUS-150L for the Fall 2026 term. This is a paid, on-site position based in Redmond, Washington. You will work 5 to 10 hours per week under the supervision of Lawrence Schwedler.
What you'll do#
- Assist the instructor with classroom and studio equipment setup.
- Support students with their assignments, software, and hardware questions.
- Pre-grade coursework and assist with grading outside of class hours.
- Take attendance and help facilitate student presentations.
- Meet with the instructor regularly to discuss performance and adjust duties.
- Provide mentorship to students during and outside of class hours.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Good Academic Standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Proficiency in course materials, concepts, and tools.
- Comfort interacting with other students in a mentorship role.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform tasks like carrying or pushing equipment.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026 (August 31 to April 23).
- Wage: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on previous terms worked at the institution.
- Note: You must reside in Washington to perform this work. You cannot work during times when you are scheduled for a class.
