About the role#
DigiPen Institute of Technology is hiring a Student Teaching Assistant for the MUS-350L course taught by Greg Dixon. This position runs from August 31, 2026, through April 23, 2027. The role requires 20 hours of work per week on-site in Redmond, Washington. You must be a currently matriculated student at DigiPen to apply.
What you'll do#
- Assist the instructor during class sessions.
- Grade homework and assignments.
- Support students with music and sound requirements for their GAM300 game projects.
- Provide guidance on course assignments and creative work outside of scheduled labs.
- Meet weekly with the instructor for feedback and to discuss duties.
- Maintain accurate records of your worked hours.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency with the MUS-350L course material.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Successful completion of MUS-350L with a grade of B or better.
- Good academic standing at DigiPen.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to help peers succeed.
- Consistent and timely attendance.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, as the role involves some equipment setup.

- Term: Fall 2026 and Winter 2027.
- Compensation: $17.13 - $18.25 per hour, based on your number of terms worked at DigiPen.
- Note: Student employees may not work during their own scheduled class times.
