About the role#
This Summer 2027 internship is based in Round Rock, Texas, within the Process Systems and Solutions business. You will work alongside experienced mentors to gain practical exposure to software testing, process control systems, and system integration. You will contribute to automation technologies that help manufacturers operate more efficiently across web, cloud, PC, and embedded platforms.
What you'll do#
- Develop and enhance software tools to improve testing efficiency and productivity.
- Learn and apply DeltaV Distributed Control System technologies.
- Support the maintenance and improvement of testing environments.
- Configure and implement control strategies and graphics development within DeltaV.
- Collaborate with engineering professionals to solve technical challenges and support product quality.
- Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
- Document processes, findings, and recommendations to support project goals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to manage responsibilities independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Previous internship, project, or research experience in a technical setting is preferred.
- Exposure to software development, automation systems, or controls engineering.
- Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset.
