About the role#
GeoEngineers is looking for students to join our team for a Summer 2027 internship. This role offers hands-on experience in geotechnical engineering. You will work alongside professional engineers to gain practical knowledge through field and office tasks. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Cary, North Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Monitor field explorations and construction projects while receiving guidance from staff engineers.
- Document field conditions and complete required reports.
- Assist the team with office deliverables and project-related tasks.
- Perform routine laboratory testing and analyses.
- Maintain field equipment and keep up to date with company training.
- Support safe work practices across all project sites.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master program for Civil Engineering.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work well within a team environment.
- A valid driver license and reliable personal transportation.
- The physical ability to perform tasks like walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
