About the role#
GeoEngineers is looking for engineering students to join our team for a Summer 2027 internship. This role offers the chance to gain real-world experience and mentorship from professional engineers. You will split your time between field work and office tasks to learn what it takes to succeed as a geotechnical engineer.
What you'll do#
- Monitor field explorations and construction projects under the guidance of engineers and scientists.
- Document field conditions and complete field reports.
- Assist engineers with office and project-related deliverables.
- Help organize and maintain lab and field equipment.
- Perform routine laboratory testing and analyses.
- Maintain field readiness and complete required company training.
- Follow and support safe work practices.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.
- Ability to perform physical activities such as walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
