About the role#
GeoEngineers is looking for engineering students for a Summer 2027 internship in Tacoma. This role offers hands-on experience and mentorship from professional engineers. You will work on geotechnical projects, spending time both in the field and in the office.
What you'll do#
- Monitor field explorations and construction projects under the guidance of engineers and scientists.
- Document field conditions and complete field reports.
- Assist engineers with office and project-related deliverables.
- Help with routine laboratory testing and analyses.
- Maintain field readiness and keep up to date on company training requirements.
- Organize and maintain lab and field equipment.
- Follow and support safe work practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Valid driver license and reliable personal transportation.
- Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to perform physical activities including walking, bending, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
