About the role#
This is an unpaid internship through the DoD SkillBridge Program, specifically designed for transitioning active-duty U.S. military personnel within their final 180 days of service. You will train as a Radio Frequency and Data Link Engineer within the Air Force Special Operations Command Technology Integration Support Cooperative. The program focuses on providing hands-on experience in RF and datalink system integration, testing, and support to prepare you for potential future roles in defense contracting.
What you'll do#
- Train on projects alongside a mentor and senior company leadership.
- Participate in cross-functional coordination and system integration processes.
- Support field operations, including equipment surveys, setup, operation, and breakdown.
- Lead an integration project that connects multiple mission nodes.
- Produce actionable technical reports with recommendations for system improvements.
What you'll need#
- Active-duty military status within your final 180 days of service.
- U.S. citizenship and a current DoD Secret security clearance, with eligibility for a TS/SCI upgrade.
- Prior military experience in communications, electronic warfare, or signals intelligence, or equivalent experience in defense contracting with a focus on C4ISR systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- A self-motivated approach to work with minimal direction.
