About the role#
HNTB is hiring a Construction Engineering & Inspection Intern for a co-op in Houston. This role supports transportation infrastructure projects and provides field experience. You will work under close supervision on basic inspector tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist with daily inspection tasks in a training capacity.
- Help the inspection team with administrative duties.
- Observe inspections of excavations, drainage structures, traffic control devices, road surfaces, and structures.
- Work on portions of special projects as directed.
- Help prepare project records and reports.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary inspector program.
- Preference for students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Location & details#
- Location: Houston, Texas.
- Terms: Spring 2027 through Summer 2027 or Summer 2027 through Fall 2027.
- Modality: This is an on-site position.
- Employment: This is a paid, full-time internship. Visa sponsorship is not available.
