About the role#
This internship with the External Managers Program offers a chance to gain experience within the Investment Management division at HOOPP. You will work alongside a team of investment professionals and learn about various investing approaches. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and improve databases.
- Develop and test analytics dashboards.
- Conduct hedge fund strategy research and provide analyses to Portfolio Managers.
- Use AI models to create agentic workflows and automate tasks.
- Collaborate with senior risk takers both internally and externally.
- Document processes and maintain records in the CRM.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science.
- You have excellent Microsoft Office skills, specifically with spreadsheet formulas.
- You possess a keen interest in investment management, macroeconomics, and quantitative analysis.
- You have a demonstrated aptitude for data analysis and reporting.
- You are a quick learner with technology.
- You must return to your studies after the work term ends.
