About the role#
The IT Information Security Identity & Access Management team is looking for a student to help modernize identity platforms and support our security program. You will work in an agile environment, own projects from start to finish, and contribute to the security of a major pension plan. This is a paid, full-time internship for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the Identity & Access Management and broader Information Security teams.
- Create and improve processes through documentation, scripting, and automation.
- Analyze cloud security posture and alignment with industry best practices.
- Design and enhance automated workflows for identity governance and administration.
- Identify security risks related to identity and implement controls to mitigate them.
- Support the team during IT incident responses.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a recognized co-op program for Computer Science with a specialization in Information or Cyber Security.
- Understanding of cloud security principles for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
- Knowledge of cloud environments, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with security monitoring or analysis tools such as SIEM or Azure Sentinel.
- Experience or interest in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
