About the role#
The Inter-American Development Bank is hiring a graduate student for a paid, full-time internship during the Winter 2027 term. This position is based at our headquarters in Washington D.C. and focuses on supporting Enterprise Risk Management through AI-driven automation.
What you'll do#
- Explore and apply AI-enabled solutions to improve Enterprise Risk Management activities and strengthen risk analysis.
- Design and use AI tools to review process maps, flag gaps, and identify inconsistencies.
- Assist with risk and control inventory reviews by organizing documentation and process information.
- Support annual testing by preparing files, organizing evidence, and documenting observations.
- Compile updates and prepare summaries for the Annual Report, including the creation of dashboards and visual exhibits.
- Develop a roadmap with recommendations for leveraging AI capabilities across various processes.
What you'll need#
- You must be an active graduate student in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- You must have completed at least 50% of your coursework at the time of application.
- You must be a national of an IDB member country.
- You cannot have family members currently employed by the IDB or IDB Invest.
- Fluency in English is required. A working knowledge of Spanish, French, or Portuguese is a plus.
- This must be your first internship with the IDB Group.
