    About the role#

    The Inter-American Development Bank is hiring a graduate student for a Winter 2027 internship. This is a paid, full-time position based in Washington, D.C. You will work with the Global Partnerships Office to support outreach, market intelligence, and content development. This role provides hands-on experience with CRM systems, data-driven knowledge management, and AI-enabled tools within an international development context.

    What you'll do#

    • Draft and edit written communication materials, including briefings, talking points, and partner highlights.
    • Support internal communications, presentations, and publications.
    • Assist with social media content by identifying stories and tracking engagement.
    • Conduct desk research on partners and development trends.
    • Compile partner profiles and briefing notes for outreach.
    • Maintain and update partner intelligence records in Salesforce.
    • Use AI-based tools to summarize market intelligence and organize briefing databases.

    What you'll need#

    • Active enrollment in a graduate program (master’s or Ph.D.) in Public Affairs, Public Administration, Journalism, Business Administration, or related fields.
    • Graduation date must occur after the internship period.
    • Completion of at least 50% of graduate coursework at the time of application.
    • Citizenship from an IDB member country.
    • Fluency in English. Proficiency in Spanish, French, or Portuguese is a plus.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) from January 16, 2027, to March 15, 2027.
    • Must be a first-time participant in an IDB Group internship and have no prior employment history with the Bank or its affiliates.
