    About the role#

    The Inter-American Development Bank is hiring an intern to support the Structured Partnerships Team. This is a paid, full-time position based in Washington, D.C. The internship runs from January 16, 2027, to March 15, 2027. You will work on-site at the Bank headquarters.

    What you'll do#

    • Identify and develop strategic partnerships to mobilize private capital for the Sustainable Development Goals in the Latin America and Caribbean region.
    • Evaluate existing partnerships to improve their impact across Bank projects.
    • Research and develop new financial instruments alongside partners.
    • Perform market research and analyze data regarding partnership opportunities.
    • Manage and develop new relationships with public and private sector players.
    • Assist with risk analysis for due diligence processes and prepare materials for events, workshops, and meetings.
    • Create content for publications, the intranet, social media, and internal briefings.

    What you'll need#

    • You must be an active student in an undergraduate or graduate program in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, International Development, or Public Policy.
    • Your graduation date must occur after the internship period ends.
    • You must be a national of an IDB member country.
    • Fluency in English is required. A working knowledge of Spanish, French, or Portuguese is a plus.
    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and Bloomberg Market Concepts is expected.
    • You must be a first-time participant in an IDB Group internship program and have no family members currently working at the Bank or IDB Invest.

    • Modality: On-site.
    • Duration: Two months (January 16, 2027, to March 15, 2027).
    • Commitment: 40 hours per week.
