About the role#
The Inter-American Development Bank is hiring an undergraduate intern for the Winter 2027 program. This is a paid, full-time position based at our headquarters. You will gain professional experience in development work and corporate management by supporting our strategy and stakeholder engagement efforts.
What you'll do#
- Prepare strategic documents, presentations, briefing materials, and talking points to communicate our value proposition.
- Analyze IDB Lab activities, country priorities, and private sector trends to inform our planning.
- Review portfolio and pipeline data to identify trends, opportunities, and strategic messages.
- Maintain country profiles, strategic materials, and knowledge products to ensure quality and consistency.
What you'll need#
- You must be an active undergraduate student in Business, International Relations, Economics, Communications, or a related field.
- You must have completed your second year of school by the time you apply.
- You are a national of an IDB member country.
- You have not previously participated in an IDB Group internship or worked for the Bank in any capacity.
- You have no family members currently employed by the IDB or IDB Invest.
- You are fluent in English and possess a native or working knowledge of Spanish, French, or Portuguese.
- You have strong research, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

- This role is located in Washington, D.C., United States.
- The internship is a full-time, on-site commitment from January 16, 2027, to March 15, 2027.
