    About the role#

    The Fall 2026 Administrative Intern provides essential support to the International Rescue Committee office in Tallahassee. This role assists the Program Supervisor with daily operations, documentation, and communication tasks to help the agency serve refugee clients effectively. You will work in a professional environment that requires attention to detail, confidentiality, and a commitment to humanitarian service.

    What you'll do#

    • Support the planning and implementation of programs and activities for refugee clients.
    • Coordinate logistics and resources for workshops and community events.
    • Prepare summaries and recommendations to improve program outcomes.
    • Draft and proofread internal and external communications.
    • Conduct research to support program development and client needs.
    • Manage project documentation, including client records and meeting minutes.
    • Assist with data entry and maintain databases to ensure accurate information.
    • Help with grant proposal preparation and reporting requirements.
    • Manage office supplies and inventory.

    What you'll need#

    • Excellent communication and writing skills.
    • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • A genuine interest in international and refugee issues.
    • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
    • Capability to handle sensitive data with strict confidentiality.
    • Enrollment or background in fields such as Human Resources, International Relations, Communications, Public Health, or Psychology.

    • Location: Tallahassee, Florida.
    • Term: Fall 2026, beginning the week of September 8, 2026.
    • Commitment: Minimum of 15 hours per week for 3 consecutive months.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
    • Sponsorship: Not available.
