About the role#
This is a temporary full-time summer internship based in Fort Kent, Maine. You will work within our forestry operations from mid-May to mid-August 2027. This position provides hands-on experience in industrial forestry, leadership, and business operations.
What you'll do#
- Navigate across a large land base using tools like Avenza and Field Maps.
- Manage efficient operations, including overseeing people to meet quality and productivity standards.
- Develop an understanding of Northeastern forests, silviculture, and industrial forestry practices.
- Coordinate logistics, seedling delivery, and contractor workflows to ensure steady progress for crews.
- Monitor crew productivity and inspect the quality of thinned blocks.
- Conduct post-operation inventory of stands to update land base records.
- Report safety concerns through the appropriate channels.
- Practice critical thinking and problem solving in the field.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least your 1st year of post-secondary education.
- Good academic standing.
- Enrollment in an Agriculture-related program.

- Location: Fort Kent, Maine.
- Term: Summer 2027 (mid-May to mid-August).
- Compensation: $17.49 - $19.79 per hour, depending on school term.
- Additional benefits: Company vehicle, uniforms, housing stipend, and end-of-season incentive bonus.
