About the role#
We are looking for a Paper Mill Engineering Co-op for the Winter 2027 term at our facility in Macon, Georgia. This is a full-time, on-site position. You will work directly with our Operations and Engineering teams to support our production goals and site initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Lead projects focused on design, process improvement, and system optimization.
- Solve problems by gathering, investigating, and analyzing operational data.
- Conduct statistical studies to review current operations.
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve systems, processes, and product quality.
- Contribute to site-wide initiatives in safety, production, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
- Plan and perform ongoing assessments of product quality.
- Follow all site safety practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Chemical Engineering or Pulp and Paper Science degree program.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Completed coursework in areas such as fluid mechanics, process control, heat and mass transfer, physics, chemistry, and statistics.
