About the role#
This position supports the student exchange partnership between the Lorain County Community College Sustainable Agriculture Program and the Oberlin College Food Studies Program. You will serve as a student ambassador to welcome Oberlin students and help build an inclusive, cross-campus food and agriculture studies pathway.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Program Coordinator and Enrollment Coordinator with student orientation.
- Promote sustainable agriculture and food justice opportunities on campus.
- Welcome and support students exploring sustainable food pathways.
- Collaborate with student leaders and faculty across institutions.
- Help peers navigate campus resources.
- Share feedback to strengthen the initiative.
- Distribute outreach materials and build program visibility.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an LCCC student in good academic standing.
- A genuine interest in food systems, justice, sustainability, agriculture, history, or culture.
- Strong communication skills and an interest in interactive learning.
- Ability to work well in a team and take initiative.
- Organizational and reliability skills.
