About the role#
As a Co-op at McKenney's, you join the team from day one to handle tasks that contribute to project success. You will work alongside Project Managers, vendors, and field teams to manage logistics and uphold standards for safety, quality, and budget. Successful participants have the opportunity to take on increased ownership of projects as they gain experience.
What you'll do#
- Support controls projects from the initial planning phase through final closeout.
- Coordinate the procurement of materials and equipment by working with vendors and suppliers.
- Track project costs and provide updates on budget performance.
- Work with Project Managers and Field Team Leaders to meet schedule milestones.
- Visit project sites to monitor safety, quality, and productivity.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Co-op program at an accredited engineering school.
- Current major in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or Computer Science.
- Ability to complete three full-time, alternating Co-op rotations before graduation.
- Strong self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with Project Managers, field staff, and shop teams.

- Location: Atlanta, GA.
- Modality: On-site.
- Rotations: Spring 2027, Fall 2027, and Summer 2028.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
- Occasional site visits may require navigating active construction areas and climbing stairs or ladders.
