About the role#
This position supports a research project focused on creating interactive, evidence-informed online ethics modules for healthcare students. You will work with faculty investigators to build, test, and refine digital instructional materials. This is a remote role for students interested in instructional design, educational media, or digital learning.
What you'll do#
- Develop interactive online learning modules using educational technology platforms.
- Create and edit learning activities, including branching scenarios and knowledge checks.
- Integrate multimedia such as videos, graphics, animations, and images into modules.
- Test modules across different browsers and devices to ensure they are functional and accessible.
- Support usability testing and pilot implementation by documenting feedback.
- Format and organize content within the university's learning management system.
- Revise materials based on feedback from investigators and project collaborators.
What you'll need#
- Experience creating digital or multimedia content for the web.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems like Brightspace, Canvas, or Moodle.
- Proficiency with graphic design or multimedia tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Figma, or Camtasia.
- An understanding of web accessibility principles (WCAG).
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Interest in instructional technology, user experience design, or healthcare education.
Location & details#
- Location: Remote (based in New York, NY).
- Status: Part-time, paid student position.
- Schedule: Maximum 20 hours per week during the semester and up to 35 hours per week during school breaks.
