About the role#
This full-time Co-op position runs from mid-May 2027 through late November or early December 2027. You will start with an orientation and training period before moving into on-the-job training alongside full-time team members. You will work directly with contractors, construction managers, and design professionals to gain exposure to consulting engineering practices.
What you'll do#
- Support field construction quality control activities.
- Assess and evaluate project materials like soils, concrete, and asphalt.
- Assist in the adherence to project specifications.
- Perform field evaluations and quality control testing.
- Gain exposure to geotechnical engineering, environmental remediation, pavement design, and materials evaluation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Basic computer literacy for field work, communications, and reporting.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 to 60 pounds.
- Ability to work outside in various weather conditions and on uneven terrain.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, or kneel for long periods.

- Location: Saginaw, Michigan.
- This is an on-site, paid position.
