About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Fall 2026. You will spend half of your time coaching on the field and the other half supporting office operations. It is a hands-on role designed for those interested in youth sports management, marketing, and business operations. The program runs from August 17 to December 4, 2026, and requires at least 30 hours of work per week, including weekends.
What you'll do#
- Lead energetic and age-appropriate soccer sessions for children ages 18 months to 8 years.
- Assist with day-to-day business operations and marketing initiatives.
- Support community events to help grow the program.
- Gain practical experience in the management of a youth sports franchise.
What you'll need#
- A desire to make a positive impact on the lives of children.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- A valid driver's license and access to a personal, insured vehicle for travel to coaching sites.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Prior experience working with children is preferred, though soccer experience is not required.
- Academic background in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, Psychology, Communications, or Kinesiology is relevant to the role.
Location & details#
This position is hybrid, requiring both on-site coaching and office work. You will report to the office in Burtonsville, Maryland, and travel to various coaching sites in the region. The role is open to students or individuals seeking professional development in the sports industry.
