About the role#
This is a paid internship focused on youth sports management. You will split your time between coaching on the field and working on office tasks. This role offers hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a youth sports franchise. The program runs from August 17 to December 4, 2026, and requires at least 30 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Lead fun, engaging soccer sessions for children ages 18 months to 8 years old.
- Support marketing initiatives and business operations.
- Assist with community events.
- Participate in both online and in-person training.
What you'll need#
- A passion for positively impacting children through sports and fitness.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- A valid driver license and access to a personal insured vehicle.
- Reliable transportation to commute to the office and various coaching sites.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Prior experience working with children is preferred, though soccer experience is not required.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, Communications, and Kinesiology.
Location & details#
- Location: Columbia, Maryland.
- Schedule: Must be available to work on weekends. Hours are flexible.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with 50% on-field coaching and 50% office and event support.
- Compensation: $13.25 to $17.95 per hour.
