About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 season. You will work in the field alongside experienced arborists, climbers, and plant health care technicians. This position provides exposure to the daily operations of a residential tree care office, including business components, sales, and management fundamentals.
What you'll do#
- Perform tree pruning, removal, cabling, bracing, and general maintenance.
- Assist with tree and landscape installation.
- Operate field equipment safely, including chainsaws and chippers.
- Manage plant health through deep root fertilization, soil care, and integrated pest and disease management.
- Deliver client service while maintaining the health and beauty of landscapes.
- Complete career development booklets for climbing and plant health care.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Arboriculture, Urban Forestry, Natural Resources, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Forestry, or a related field.
- A valid driver’s license.
- A positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a love for the outdoors.
- Enthusiasm for proper plant care and arboriculture.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A demonstrated ability to report to work punctually and regularly.
Location & details#
- Location: Meredith, New Hampshire.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 40 to 50 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with some required Saturdays.
- Compensation: $22 to $23 per hour.
