About the role#
The Hanover Insurance Group is hiring an Application Engineer intern for Summer 2027. This is a full-time, 10-week program based on-site in Worcester, Massachusetts. You will work alongside senior developers and mentors to gain hands-on experience in software engineering and Generative AI.
What you'll do#
- Assist in software development projects using Java, Python, or C++.
- Integrate GenAI models using REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
- Collaborate with project team members throughout the development process.
- Research, design, and implement web technologies with guidance from senior staff.
- Create and deliver a final presentation for management and leadership at the end of the program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or advanced degree program, preferably in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Ability to commit to the full 10-week, full-time program.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
