About the role#
The Animal Science Department is hiring a Meat & Food Science Assistant to support the Meat Judging team and the Food Science Club. This position offers experience in event management, financial tracking, and program outreach within the department.
What you'll do#
- Pack and unpack supplies for Meat Judging team trips.
- Submit and summarize financial expenses for the Meat Judging team.
- Design promotional materials and print supplies for outreach activities.
- Manage the Animal Science and Meat Science kitchen during busy periods.
- Handle food preparation, catering event setup, and facility cleanup.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at the University of Wyoming.
- An active, accepted work study award for the current academic year.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Prior experience in Meat Science is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position located at the Animal Science building in Laramie, Wyoming.
- This is a paid, part-time, work study role with a rolling schedule.
