About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 within our Power and Energy team. You will work on-site at our Lakewood, Colorado office. The program lasts 12 weeks, beginning May 17, 2027. You will gain hands-on experience by working alongside senior staff on real projects. Please note that we do not provide relocation or housing assistance for this position.
What you'll do#
- Support various engineering tasks to build your technical and ethical skills.
- Learn the basic principles of civil engineering.
- Assist with field work, project research, and preliminary design calculations.
- Help prepare final design plans, cost estimates, and special provisions.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete assigned training modules.
- Follow company policies, including our Code of Conduct and safety standards.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate, masters, or PhD program in civil engineering or a related field.
- An anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and spreadsheets.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow direction from mentors and managers.
- A commitment to workplace safety and professional ethics.
- Previous internship or campus leadership experience is a plus.

- Compensation: $23.90 to $31.11 per hour.
