    About the role#

    The Eagle Learning Center is hiring a front desk receptionist to support our office operations. This is a part-time position for currently enrolled undergraduate students who have an active Federal Work Study (FWS) award. You will report to the Senior Director of Academic Support and work alongside other student staff assistants.

    What you'll do#

    • Greet visitors and answer the phone.
    • Schedule student appointments using an online calendar.
    • Respond to inquiries about ELC services.
    • Perform data entry and scan documents.
    • Provide general office support for administrative and program staff.
    • Assist the Operations Coordinator when needed.
    • Handle other tasks as assigned.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment as a full-time degree seeking undergraduate at American University.
    • An active Federal Work Study (FWS) award.
    • Strong customer service and communication skills.
    • Ability to interact professionally with students, faculty, staff, and parents.
    • Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
    • Comfort with technology and a willingness to learn new systems.
    • Reliability and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Experience with shared calendars, MS Excel, and Outlook is preferred.

    Location & details#

    • Location: Main Campus, Washington, DC.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Commitment: Part-time, 5 hours per week, for the academic year.
    • Flexibility: You should be available to work midday and occasional alternate hours.
