About the role#
As an Engineering Intern at Bernhard, you will support technical teams by handling basic engineering tasks. You will work under direct supervision, focusing on learning our internal processes and contributing to ongoing projects. This role involves light physical work, such as moving objects up to 20 pounds, and requires occasional travel to job sites or office locations.
What you'll do#
- Learn organizational processes and procedures.
- Contribute to assigned projects.
- Assist with record and filing systems, drafting techniques, and data resource duties.
- Organize and store maps, structural drawings, design drawings, and related engineering records.
- Collect and code data for input procedures.
- Review existing records for necessary revisions and prepare data.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of documentation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in a technical field.
- A beginning to working knowledge of the subject matter.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Attentiveness and the ability to follow directions.
- Capability to handle basic issues and refer complex problems to higher-level staff.
