    About the role#

    This is a paid, full-time internship based in a processing plant. You will gain hands-on experience in food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on learning plant operations and completing projects that support our daily production needs.

    What you'll do#

    • Participate in an extensive training program covering meat processing, good manufacturing practices, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points.
    • Work directly within an industrial plant environment.
    • Complete assigned projects that align with current operational requirements.
    • Contribute to documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds in environments that may include heat, cold, or moisture.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree or diploma program in Animal Science, Food Science, Ag Business, Ag Econ, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Ability to commit to a 16-week internship from May through August 2027.
    • Legal entitlement to work for Cargill in Canada.
    • A high degree of initiative and the ability to complete work with limited guidance.
    • Experience working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

    • Duration: 16 weeks, Summer 2027.
