About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based in a processing plant. You will gain hands-on experience in food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on learning plant operations and completing projects that support our daily production needs.
What you'll do#
- Participate in an extensive training program covering meat processing, good manufacturing practices, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points.
- Work directly within an industrial plant environment.
- Complete assigned projects that align with current operational requirements.
- Contribute to documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds in environments that may include heat, cold, or moisture.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree or diploma program in Animal Science, Food Science, Ag Business, Ag Econ, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Ability to commit to a 16-week internship from May through August 2027.
- Legal entitlement to work for Cargill in Canada.
- A high degree of initiative and the ability to complete work with limited guidance.
- Experience working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
