About the role#
As a Land Negotiator Intern, you will join an asset team within the Land Organization. You will gain exposure to mineral and surface land operations, including deal negotiation, contract drafting, and due diligence. You will work on projects tailored to your experience level and present your findings to management. Throughout the program, you will receive mentorship and cross-functional training to support your professional development.
What you'll do#
- Complete projects based on your experience level and present results to management.
- Assist with the acquisition, trade, or divestment of surface and subsurface rights.
- Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, geology, finance, and accounting.
- Represent ConocoPhillips in professional dealings with co-owners, mineral owners, surface owners, and government entities.
- Gain hands-on experience with contract drafting and agreement negotiations.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration with a focus in Energy Commerce, Energy Management, or a related field.
- Current standing as a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate student.
- Expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring/Fall 2030.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis without company sponsorship.
