    About the role#

    The Inter-American Development Bank is hiring an intern for the Winter 2027 program. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based at our headquarters in Washington D.C. You will gain professional experience in development work and corporate management while supporting our social sector initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean.

    What you'll do#

    • Support analytical, operational, and knowledge management tasks related to care systems and socioeconomic inclusion.
    • Conduct literature reviews and background research to assist with social sector projects and Technical Cooperations.
    • Review, edit, and proofread technical documents and knowledge products to ensure accuracy and quality.
    • Compile, organize, and edit project deliverables including reports, presentations, and briefs.
    • Assist in the preparation, implementation, and monitoring of Technical Cooperations by synthesizing information and coordinating inputs.

    What you'll need#

    • Be an active graduate student in Economics, Public Health, International Relations, Political Science, Sociology, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field.
    • Have completed at least 50% of your graduate coursework at the time of application.
    • Demonstrate strong writing and analytical skills in both English and Spanish.
    • Possess fluency in English and a working knowledge of one other Bank language.
    • Show prior experience working on development projects.
    • Be a national of an IDB member country and a first-time participant in an IDB Group internship program.

    • Location: Washington D.C., United States.
    • Term: January 16th to March 15th, 2027.
    • Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
    • Status: Paid internship.
