    About the role#

    The Inter-American Development Bank is hiring a graduate student for an internship within the Grievance Protocol team. This role focuses on strengthening knowledge management and operational consistency for the Bank's mechanism for environmental and social concerns. You will help turn operational experience into practical tools and guidance materials for specialists across the organization.

    What you'll do#

    • Build an archive of case studies by reviewing and systematizing information from closed grievances.
    • Draft standardized case summaries and organize key information for internal and external dissemination.
    • Develop a library of communication templates and guidance by reviewing existing protocols.
    • Design practical tools for ESG specialists, such as FAQs, decision trees, and operational checklists.
    • Assist in preparing knowledge products and materials for training activities and institutional reporting.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a graduate program in Public Health, International Relations, Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology, or Communications.
    • Completion of at least 50% of your graduate coursework.
    • Fluency in English.
    • Strong qualitative research, writing, and editing skills.
    • Ability to synthesize complex information into concise formats.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • You must be a national of an IDB member country and a first-time participant in an IDB Group internship program.

    • Location: Washington D.C., United States.
    • Term: Winter 2027 (January 16th to March 15th, 2027).
    • Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
    • Status: This is a paid internship.
