About the role#
The Inter-American Development Bank is hiring an undergraduate intern for the Emerging Technologies Lab. This is a paid, full-time position based in Washington, D.C. for the Winter 2027 term. You will gain professional experience by working on laboratory projects and learning about the corporate management of the Bank.
What you'll do#
- Integrate and connect different laboratory tools and systems.
- Develop clear documentation and tutorials for laboratory projects.
- Build demonstrations that showcase how multiple technologies work together.
- Develop benchmarking frameworks to evaluate and compare different technical approaches.
- Create educational materials to communicate the laboratory’s projects, tools, and results.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment as an undergraduate student in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least two years of university studies.
- Graduation date set after the internship period.
- Fluency in English.
- Citizenship from an IDB member country.
- You must be a first-time participant in an IDB Group Internship Program and have no family members currently working at the IDB or IDB Invest.
- You must not be a former staff member, contractor, or Complementary Workforce member of the Bank.
