    About the role#

    The Anti-Trafficking Intern supports case management teams assisting survivors of human trafficking. You will help clients navigate complex systems to access essential services and resources. This role is based in Silver Spring, Maryland, for the Fall 2026 semester.

    What you'll do#

    • Work directly with clients to assess their needs and create service plans.
    • Draft, edit, and distribute informational materials like flyers and fact sheets.
    • Research agencies and service providers to support partnership development.
    • Guide clients to appointments with legal, healthcare, and public benefit providers.
    • Map community resources and assist with outreach to identify potential clients.
    • Maintain quality control for client files.

    What you'll need#

    • Commitment of at least 24 hours per week.
    • Ability to work in-person at the Silver Spring office.
    • Excellent communication and writing skills.
    • Interest in humanitarian issues and services for trafficking survivors.
    • Proficiency in Spanish, Arabic, or French is preferred.
    • Reliable access to a personal vehicle, a valid driver's license, and active insurance is preferred.
    • Academic background in Psychology, Political Science, Sociology, Human Resources, Public Health, or Criminal Justice is relevant.

    • Location: Silver Spring, Maryland.
    • Term: Fall 2026 (September through December).
    • Orientation: Required in-person attendance on September 7, 2026.
    • Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. Interns may be eligible for a per diem reimbursement of $15 per day for food and travel costs.
