About the role#
The Industrial Engineering Intern reports to the Lead Engineer within the Industrial Engineering group. You will support operational efficiency and manufacturing improvement projects while working alongside the Operations, Process, and Maintenance Engineering teams.
What you'll do#
- Conduct capacity studies and generate reports on key toolsets to improve modeling accuracy.
- Perform labor studies to identify potential improvements for operational efficiency.
- Observe fab operations to find new operational opportunities.
- Use software tools like Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and Python to solve complex problems.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor degree in industrial engineering or industrial and systems engineering.
- Completion of your sophomore year of college.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, programming basics, and optimization techniques.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Bloomington, Minnesota.
- The term is 12 to 13 weeks.
