About the role#
St. Luke's University Health Network is hiring for the Fall 2026 Critical Care Internship and Fellowship. This program supports the transition from novice to advanced beginner through a competency-based, full-time curriculum. You will participate in seminars, workshops, simulation training, and clinical observations under the guidance of a dedicated education team. Upon successful completion, you will work in a Critical Care Unit providing care to patients across their lifespans.
What you'll do#
- Provide nursing care to critically ill patients by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment.
- Coordinate with nursing and ancillary personnel to maintain professional practice standards.
- Document the effects of care and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Model the Network Service Excellence Standards in all interactions.
- Comply with all departmental policies regarding attendance and dress code.
What you'll need#
- Current nursing students with a prospective graduation date who will be eligible for NCLEX and licensure before the internship begins.
- A minimum 3.2 overall GPA at the time of application or a confirmed Senior Practicum in an ICU.
- Experienced Registered Nurses who have not previously worked in a critical care setting.
- Current BLS certification.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including standing for up to 10 hours and lifting or transporting patients weighing up to 500 lbs.

- This is an on-site, full-time position.
- Opportunities are available at campuses in Allentown, Bethlehem, Coaldale, Easton, Lehighton, Orwigsburg, Quakertown, Sellersville, and Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania.
