About the role#
St. Luke's University Health Network offers clinical opportunities for nursing students. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide individualized patient care. This role involves following a nursing care plan and assisting with assigned groups of patients.
What you'll do#
- Perform physical assessments of patients.
- Prepare and administer medications under the direct supervision of an RN.
- Document patient information in medical records.
- Maintain professional behavior during interactions with patients, families, and staff.
- Assist with patient transport and discharge planning.
- Provide basic patient care and education.
- Communicate with healthcare providers regarding patient conditions.
