About the role#
St. Luke's University Health Network offers a full-time, competency-based Critical Care Internship and Fellowship for the Fall 2026 cohort. This program supports the transition from novice to advanced beginner through a mix of seminars, workshops, simulation, supervised hands-on training, and clinical observations. Participants receive guidance from a dedicated education team and clinical preceptors to build skills in leadership, team building, and conflict management.
What you'll do#
- Provide nursing care to critically ill patients by assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the effects of care.
- Work cooperatively with nursing staff, ancillary teams, and other personnel to maintain professional practice standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of all materials and ensure the proper release of information.
- Complete required training, including AACN ECG modules, AACN Essential of Critical Care Orientation, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a nursing student with a prospective graduation date that allows for NCLEX eligibility and licensure before the internship start date.
- A minimum 3.2 overall GPA at the time of application, or a confirmed Senior Practicum in an ICU.
- Experienced Registered Nurses who have not previously worked in a critical care setting are also eligible to apply.
- Current BLS certification.

- This is a paid, full-time, on-site opportunity.
- Positions are available at multiple campuses, including Allentown, Bethlehem, Coaldale, Easton, Lehighton, Orwigsburg, Quakertown, Sellersville, and Stroudsburg.
