About the role#
As a Data Engineer Intern, you will help build and support the data pipelines, platforms, and processes that enable analytics, reporting, automation, and AI-driven insights. You will work on transforming raw information into reliable data assets that help teams make decisions. This internship is part of a program designed to help students explore career paths in technology and data engineering within the insurance industry.
What you'll do#
- Build and support data pipelines that ingest, transform, and prepare data for business and analytical use.
- Work with structured and unstructured data to enable analytics, reporting, and AI-driven solutions.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance through profiling, validation, and monitoring activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and support the development of data solutions.
What you'll need#
- You are an undergraduate or graduate student expecting to graduate in May 2028.
- You are pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, IT, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
- You maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- You demonstrate an ability to analyze complex problems using structured thinking and logical reasoning.
- You have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- This is a full-time, paid summer 2027 internship.
- The role is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
