About the role#
The University of New Mexico is seeking a Student Production Intern for the 2025-2026 performance season at Popejoy Hall. This role provides hands-on experience in large-scale production environments, focusing on touring Broadway shows and professional performances. You will work directly with the production team to support daily operations and event logistics.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Technical Director, Production Manager, and Production Coordinator during load-ins, technical rehearsals, and strikes.
- Support production logistics, including hospitality, security coordination, and backstage operations.
- Communicate with visiting production teams to help meet their technical and logistical requirements.
- Attend and observe production meetings.
- Help create and maintain production paperwork and documentation.
- Support other departmental tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- A foundational understanding of theatrical production practices and equipment.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
- An interest in pursuing a career in technical theater or production management.
- Current enrollment as a student, specifically those majoring in Art.
