About the role#
As a Completions Engineering Intern at Fervo Energy, you will contribute to the development of next-generation geothermal power. You will own a project scoped by your manager from the start and drive it for the duration of your internship. You will work alongside our engineering teams to gain exposure to the full completions lifecycle, including design, well construction, and post-fracturing analysis. At the end of the term, you will present your work and results to our leadership team.
What you'll do#
- Support completion design workflows and documentation.
- Assist with the collection and analysis of hydraulic stimulation data.
- Maintain and update well diagrams and completion records.
- Support vendor coordination and scheduling tasks.
- Track completions performance metrics and prepare summary reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a rising Junior, Senior, Master's, MBA, or PhD candidate in Mechanical, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Comfort working with technical field data.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly and present work to stakeholders.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site position based in Houston, Texas.
- This role is paid and full-time.
- We are looking for candidates who can wrap up their degree within the next year, as we use this program to build a pipeline toward full-time offers.
