About the role#
The Compliance Strategy and Framework team is looking for a Co-op to help drive innovation and operational excellence across Fidelity Institutional. You will gain experience in how compliance programs are designed, governed, and optimized. This role involves partnering with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Human Resources, and business stakeholders to use data and streamline processes. You will contribute to strategic initiatives that strengthen the firm's governance and control environment.
What you'll do#
- Support enterprise-wide Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) system enhancements and perform data management activities.
- Analyze data to prepare reports, metrics, and dashboards that provide insights into compliance program effectiveness.
- Identify efficiency opportunities and help design future-state solutions.
- Document workflows and assist with process improvement initiatives, including support for automation.
- Contribute to strategic projects that enhance compliance frameworks and strengthen controls.
- Collaborate across teams to support cross-functional initiatives and solve complex business challenges.
- Research regulatory developments, industry trends, and emerging technologies to support innovation.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Risk Management, Accounting, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and develop insights.
- Interest in strategy, business transformation, operational excellence, compliance, risk management, or financial services.
- Curiosity for solving complex problems and improving processes.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize information for diverse audiences.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with familiarity in data visualization or reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across teams.
- Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Interest in emerging technologies, automation, and data-driven decision making.
