    About the role#

    This position is open exclusively to current or former HNTB interns. It is a full-time, paid role available for the Winter or Summer 2027 terms. You will work on-site to assist in the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, and engineering plans. This role involves performing research, data collection, and field investigations while applying engineering techniques to various infrastructure projects.

    What you'll do#

    • Complete assigned work within the provided schedule and hours.
    • Support the preparation and modification of project reports, designs, and calculations.
    • Assist in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
    • Provide administrative and organizational support for design files.
    • Support engineering teams with research, data collection, and field investigations.

    What you'll need#

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
    • Solid understanding of engineering principles.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Familiarity with MicroStation or AutoCad.
    • A Master's degree in Engineering is preferred.
    • EIT certification is preferred.

    This is an on-site role available in the following locations: New York, NY; South Portland, ME; Princeton, NJ; Bedford, NH; Boston, MA; Newark, NJ; Cherry Hill, NJ; Parsippany, NJ; South Norwalk, CT; Rocky Hill, CT; and Chelmsford, MA. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
