About the role#
This position is exclusively for current or former HNTB interns. As a New Grad Engineer I, you will join our Great Lakes Division to support infrastructure projects. You will work on-site to assist with design calculations, project documentation, and team coordination. This is a full-time, paid position available for Winter or Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Complete assigned tasks and projects within established schedules.
- Assist in the production and modification of design calculations, technical reports, and engineering plans.
- Prepare project quantity and cost estimates.
- Provide administrative and organizational support for design files.
- Support engineering teams with research, data collection, and field investigations.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, Aerospace, or Industrial).
- Understanding of engineering principles relevant to your discipline.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with MicroStation or AutoCAD.
- Strong interest in transportation and infrastructure projects.
